Sustainability Policy
In its activities related to the planting and harvesting of sugarcane, as well as the production of sugar, ethanol, energy, and byproducts, Usina Coruripe ensures high quality standards and operates with social and environmental responsibility. It also covers occupational health and safety, food safety, and the environment. In addition, it has as commitments:
Promote continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System to increase our organizational performance and contribute to our sustainable development, enabling resources for all employees to perform their work as responsible corporate citizens, ensuring a safe and healthy working conditions, increasing customer satisfaction, food safety and the protection of the environment. This includes the efficient use of natural resources and energy, the protection of soil, biodiversity, and areas of high conservation value, water management based on the water balance, and the reduction of GHG emissions per unit produced.
Encourage every Employee to work in a way that ensures products meet the required levels of quality, product safety and productivity, as well as ensuring the integrity, traceability of production, and distribution in accordance with applicable chain-of-custody standards. To this end, the company fosters the competencies and provide training necessary to comply with legal and other requirements.
Encourage the Leader to guide their team with a focus on contributing to the achievement of planned results and acting in a socially equitable manner, which includes: ensuring a discrimination-free environment characterized by equality and dignity, prohibiting forced and child labor, guaranteeing freedom of association, and providing complaint mechanisms accessible to all workers.
Comply with the applicable laws and regulations of the jurisdictions in which Usina Coruripe conducts its operations and projects, including laws that define the host country’s obligations under international law, as well as other standards, standards, certification schemes, or codes of conduct, underpinned by legal compliance and social and environmental due diligence.
Meet the needs and expectations of relevant stakeholders through steady growth, competitiveness, and profitability, by monitoring and reporting key indicators, continuously reviewing its objectives and goals, provided they are technically and economically feasible, always maintaining information and data that are auditable, and engaging these stakeholders through transparency, consultations, and structured responses.
Prevent adverse socioeconomic impacts, as well as pollution, injuries, and illnesses, by eliminating and reducing risks, supported by environmental, health, and occupational safety management based on the identification of environmental aspects and occupational hazards, ongoing training, and appropriate, sufficient, and effective preventive measures.
Work with suppliers, service providers, and third parties to practice sustainable development, comply with rules and laws in force and comply with the company's requirements regarding nature and safe working conditions, while also ensuring compliance with sugarcane traceability requirements, preventing the mixing of compliant and non-compliant materials, and maintaining documentation controls that ensure the integrity of the chain of custody.

Safety Policy
At Usina Coruripe, the Human Being is a value more important than the goals and objectives of the company. Nothing can override the integrity of our employees and no emergency or production situation can serve as an argument to act without security.
The company has the responsibility to enable the resources so that all tasks are carried out safely. It is up to all of us to comply with legal rules and internal rules to preserve people’s lives and the work environment.
It’s the Leader’s the responsibility of the safety of the people who work in your area. It is he who must always promote the safe behavior, within the established standards and rules, besides encouraging the participation of all to eliminate potential risks.
The Work Safety Team will always act as support in the preventive guidelines to the employees and mainly as technical support to the leaders.
Each Contributor has the responsibility of always acting prioritizing their safety, that of colleagues and other people who are in their work environment.
The Suppliers, Service Providers and Third Parties must comply fully with safety standards and ensure that their work is carried out under fully safe conditions.
The Continuous Search by the accident free environment must be an attitude of all the people who work in the Company, regardless of the position and function they occupy. In addition, safe behavior must be incorporated as a constant in one’s life, wherever one is.
Risks Policy
This policy defines a set of principles of market risk management that must be followed by the Coruripe Plant. These principles were established to demonstrate and discipline analyzes and processes dedicated to assessing and responding to economic and market pricing scenarios that could significantly influence the Coruripe Usage objectives.
Objectives of market risk management: Protect the operating cash flow, seeking to reach the values set by the annual budget. Meet the minimum cash level, equivalent to the sum of the operating expenses and financial expenses of the next 3 months, present in the company’s cash flow projection. Minimize the possibility of noncompliance with financial covenants.
Meeting these objectives seeks to: Protect the financial condition of the company to ensure permanent access to the credit and capital market, and consequently to sources of financing for its growth. Maintain a high predictability of your cash flow, allowing a stable payment of dividends.
